Genealogy

The Bible is full of “begats.” Cain begat Enoch. Enoch begat Irad, etc. Most of these genealogies are rather boring, although some do provide interesting facts. For example, the genealogy of Cain given in Chapter 4 Verses 17 through 26 gives insight into the developing cultures.

  • During Jabal’s time, people lived in tents and had livestock.
  • Jubal’s descendents played musical instruments.
  • Tubal-cain forged insurments of bronze and iron.

Don’t overlook the genealogy. I have created “family trees” wherever the Bible provides information. These trees are listed under Genealogy on the main menu.
